Dr. Charlene Laprise

Dr. Laprise grew up in Edmonton and loved animals from a young age. As she grew up, this love for animals grew into a passion for veterinary medicine. She attended the University of Alberta and worked on a Bachelor’s of Science, specializing in Zoology.

Dr. Charlene moved to Saskatoon with her husband in 2007, where she worked at doggie daycare, managing a group of up to 20 dogs. Dr. Charlene worked at the daycare for a year before realizing her dream and being admitted to the Western College of Veterinary Medicine. After graduating from the WCVM in May 2012, she practiced for a year and a half in Lethbridge where she set up a behaviour consultation arm of the practice. After moving back to the Edmonton area, Dr. Laprise continued her focus on behaviour while working for a mobile veterinary practice.

Dr. Charlene has a special interest in animal behaviour and low stress handling techniques, and offers behavioural consultations as well as regular veterinary care. She is excited to be able to continue to offer these mobile services to patients, as well as finding a new home at Town Centre.

In her free time she enjoys gardening, yoga and spending time with her husband David, her daughter Violet, son Morgan and their 2 rescue dogs; Karma (a Kelpie cross) and Freyja (a Shih Tzu).
